19th National Seminar from Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology – SCIT titled IoT and Big Data : Leverage or Adversary to Data Analytics was indeed a life time experience and a cherishing experience for me. It is a rare opportunity to meet MBA students presenting enterprising ideas about Decentralised Agriculture Marketplaces and sharing thoughts about Universal Basic Income and clarifying concepts about Quantum Computing and Algorithmic Business Models.
Moderating an eminent panel of Industry thought leaders with academic erudition and implementation insights from world class organisations was a challenging task and a learning experience. Sourabh Mukharjee from Accenture, Dr. Sheela Siddappa from Bosh, Dr. Pradeep Bilurkar from Barclays, Kapil Gandhi from Ernst and Young were our fellow panelist. The event started with an inspiring inagural address from the director of #SCIT, Dr. Dhanya Pramod. It was followed by an illuminating and thought provoking keynote address by the Chief Strategy Officer of Fractal Analytics, Sameer Dhanrajani.
In the panel discussion we covered a wide spectrum of topics ranging from evolution of IoT and Big Data, Cloud based Data Integration approaches for IoT, IoT Analytics applications, Industry solutions and emerging use cases, emerging challenges around IoT Big Data landscape, need for standardisation, need for ontologies around IoT Data Sets, career opportunities in IoT Big Data Analytics area etc. Altogether it was a dream journey to an inspiring academic institution. I wish all the very best for this institution and its committed faculty members and passionate students !
MaxEd has been a powerhouse of ideas and innovators in the field of Management Education. I have always cherished every meet ups and events that MaxEd organized. It demonstrated an amazing ring of friendship and focused thought process. When MaxEd completes one year, the Think Tank is becoming a formidable thought leader and visionary in vivid dimensions of management consulting. MaxEd members are presenting their thought leadership in Digital Marketing, Digital Transformation, Innovation Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Ecosystem Development, Social Business etc.
Our Think Tank conclave coincided with the MaxEd Talk the Walk #MaxEdTTW Kochi Edition. It was a real treat for anyone with genuine interest in social transformation and open innovation. We could connect with innovators in different walks of life. I could connect to an array of educators and entrepreneurs in this occasion. Thanks to MaxEd !!
It was quite sheer coincidence that I got connected to the inspiring community of business management educators called ‘MaxEd’. LinkedIn has played a key role in establishing this connect.
I got into the community through their WhatsApp groups and started networking very closely. The entire community was quite enthusiastic to join hands with us to spread the message of innovation beyond the corporate circles and towards the academic platforms.
I joined them in the Think Tank Conclave in Kochi at Olive Downtown, quite a professional environment for discussion of this magnitude.
We brainstormed over quite a few topics concerning Management Education in Kerala.
Rishabh, an aspiring entrepreneur has presented a few interesting ideas around building a business model to conduct education as a multinational experience.
Inspired by the air of positivity and optimism, I decided to share a few thoughts on innovating management education in Kerala through a phase wise, yet radical approach.
My proposal was well received by all the delegates in the conclave. We had multiple rounds of ideation and collaborative thoughtscaping around building Edu Tech and Edu Innovate Ecosystem around campuses in Kerala. A few academic institutions like SCMS Cochin, SB College Changanassery, DCSMAT etc., TKMIM etc. came forward with abundance of energy and passion to realise the dreams together. Finally, we called it a day with a flick together to flock together a long journey ahead !
